Members of the Team: Paintball Pets

Our Biggest Supporters - Pets

That's LA Xtreme with Hunter, the team's mascot and player (if there was a four-legged format).  You can tell by the expression on his face that he's having a great time at the WCPL's Panhandle Paintball Classic (held April 1&2, 2023 at Panhandle Paintball).

Pets are really a big part of our lives.  Dogs especially, which we often want to include in just about all of our daily activities, including paintball.  We know its not safe for them out on the field (nor is eating paintballs), but in the staging area, out in the parking lot (and even on the field when play isn't going on), if a paintball player has a dog, there's a good chance you'll meet them at the field or at an event.  (I'm not dissing other furry four-footers.  I've met snakes, parrots, ferrets, cats, rats and representatives of a few other phyla out at the field.)

When I was doing paintball trade shows, my dog Bo often went along.   He was quite popular, so much so that we put a tip jar on our table for him, and he usually earned more tips than we did.  Probably because he was so good at promoting paintball brands, like in this photo:

The NXL posted a photo gallery of all of the dogs at one of their events on Facebook a couple of years ago, with photos by MMPhotography.  Here's one.  You can see the rest at the link.

Over on the paintball thread on Reddit, you can meet Gracie, the resident mouse catcher and mascot of Jaeger's Paintball in KC:

And from around the web, we find that there's even a veterinarian who enjoys bringing his dogs to his children's activities, which includes paintball.

I've seen dogs at events fitted up with saddlebags, carrying water and snacks for their teams (and no doubt, themselves), running up and down the net, clearly excited by the action on the field and providing that comfort and support that only our animal friends can give.

Do any of your pets paintball?  Maybe your cat likes batting paintballs around on the floor, until the inevitable happens.  Maybe your dog gets excited whenever you get your gear bag out.

If you've got a non-human member of your paintball family, send us a picture.  We've love to see them!
