WCPL Team Profile - The Pensacola Juggernauts

Fresh off their first place finish at WCPL's Panhandle Paintball Classic - we present the Pensacola Juggernauts!

Captain Jeremy Adams sent us along some background on the team.  They're quite an operation with team "Families" in a number of locations - Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Massachusetts, making them well-suited to fielding a team in a number of locations across the country.

They're quite the personable bunch and it was a pleasure to get to meet them and watch them play.

Jeremy Adams:  "Like most people, I (Jeremy) played paintball at a birthday party for the first time back in 1998. Some friends and I began to play in the woods in our neighborhood. We ended up making friends with a group of local players who we met playing in those woods who told us about a field in Pensacola, and that we should come watch them scrimmage a speedball team.

We met them at Let’s Play Paintball in 2000 to watch them play against The Juggernauts. The Juggernauts were one of the first teams in Pensacola in the early 2000’s. Some of their players moved on to climb the ranks and join some of the best teams in speedball history such as Strange, Doc’s Raiders, and Tampa Bay Damage; and the rest had lives to tend to, so the original team disbanded around 2003.

After a 15-year hiatus, some of the local Pensacola players got back into the tournament scene and while looking for the perfect name for our newly formed group of older players, we decided to name our team after the local legends, the Juggernauts. We made our debut as Juggernauts at LAX Ball in 2019 and have since started playing some bigger series of any and all formats.

This year we are proud to welcome back one of the very first Juggernauts, Adam Griggs. Welcome home brother."

And WIN the WCPL's Panhandle Paintball Classic!

The Juggernauts have previously competed in LAX ball, Bunkerfest, the MVPS, the NXL and, of course, the WCPL.

Highlights of the team's career are a toss up between getting to play with their friends and winning the WCPL event:  "playing alongside of some absolute legends and most awesome teams ever were highlights themselves but being able to pull out a win is extremely epic. It’s definitely a memory that we will carry for a long time."

The team practices and plays out of LA Xtreme Paintball, Full Range Paintball and Panhandle Paintball fields.
